Jira/Confluence SME
Location: 4500 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, Pennsylvania, 19606
Duration: 4-6m
Process: Onsite-Hire
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
- Have been running on the Jira platform for a little less than a year now and they are still not as mature on it as they should be
- They have taken a manual change management process (run on word docs, etc.) and transformed it into an ITIL program.
- Moved the manual Chage Management process into Jira, creating Jira tickets for the change requests, have workflows, and have been running with this for about a year.
- Previously had paper-based information service request forms which is what their users would fill out to request services from IT – moved this into Jira
- Built web portal for users to go into request same services which goes into a workflow, approval process and routed to the right person
- They also stood up Confluence and started using this for sharing of info – whether that’s info for the whole IT team, team specific, or info related to a specific project
- In their executive ITIL meeting yesterday they were talking about uncertainty amongst the team regarding when do they create a ticket? When do they create an ISR? They have documentation on this and Confluence as well, but the end users are complaining that it is hard to get to
- They are looking for someone who is skilled in onboarding Jira Change Management and Confluence, a Technical SME
- Want this resource to do an assessment of the platforms and process
- Do they have things set up the right way?
- Provide recommendations, best practices
- Assist with any technical changes that would come of that in Confluence, i.e. workflows in change management
- Work with the team - get an understanding of what they want to accomplish, and match up how things are installed in the workflow
- Jira Service Management, Jira Change Management, and Confluence experience
- Would like this resource to be onsite at first for the initial assessment phase (a few weeks) then can go remote once agreed upon changes and work is in place
