Systems Administrator I – Reading, PA
We have an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator I at our Corporate Office.
This is an on-site position.
Hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
The Systems Administrator I will install, configure and manage the organization's key systems, business platforms, computers, software, and related peripherals. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 3 or higher support for help desk incidents and requests following helpdesk processes and procedures. This includes monitoring incoming incidents and alerts while providing 24x7 support as needed to the global operational needs of the organization’s infrastructure.
- Provide expertise in gathering and solidifying business/technical/user requirements, following standards and practices to deploy software and hardware technologies that successfully integrate while increasing performance, security and overall system up-time availability.
- Analyze and monitor software systems activity to ensure optimal performance and perform necessary maintenance to support optimal availability.
- Configure, install, upgrade, and maintain hardware such as servers, personal computers, printers, switches, and access points.
- Configure, install, upgrade, and maintain key software systems.
- Configure, install, and upgrade network infrastructure
- Analyze and monitor personal computer activity to ensure optimal performance and perform necessary maintenance to support optimal availability.
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, and Active Directory group policies.
- Develop and document technical processes and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Travel independently to both domestic and international facilities to provide support, perform upgrades, install equipment / software, and conduct training.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with server hardware, Office365, Microsoft Windows OS Servers, Microsoft Server applications such as SQL, Exchange, and Sharepoint, PC Hardware, Microsoft Office software, Microsoft Windows servers, TCP/IP, Fortinet firewalls, switches, and access points
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a deadline oriented environment.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel to job site locations and vendors as required, with proper documentation needed for independent travel (credit card, valid driver’s license, passport).
