Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to oversee our IT infrastructure, endpoint management, and cybersecurity. This role is critical in developing and implementing a company-wide device management policy from the ground up to support our fully remote workforce. The ideal candidate will have expertise in system administration, security protocols, cloud infrastructure, and managing endpoints (Mac, Windows, and mobile devices) for a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Manage and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace.
- Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems, monitoring system health and performance.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM), including user provisioning, authentication, and security controls.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, security measures, and compliance frameworks for a financial services environment.
Building & Managing Device Management Policy
- Develop and implement a company-wide device management policy to standardize security, access, and compliance across all endpoints (Mac, Windows, Linux, mobile).
- Evaluate and deploy endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Workspace ONE) to remotely monitor, secure, and configure company devices.
- Establish processes for secure device provisioning, patching, and decommissioning.
- Define and implement best practices for remote device security, encryption, and compliance monitoring.
Endpoint Management & Remote Support
- Oversee endpoint security and device management (Mac, Windows, and mobile)
- Automate patch management, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support for remote employees, ensuring seamless connectivity and secure operations.
- Manage VPNs, firewalls, and remote access policies to maintain secure connectivity for employees worldwide.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Monitor and enhance cybersecurity controls, protecting against threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- Implement and maintain SIEM solutions, intrusion detection, and incident response plans.
- Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing coordination, and risk assessments.
- Train employees on cybersecurity best practices, phishing prevention, and incident response protocols.
IT Process Automation & Efficiency
- Automate IT workflows using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Streamline onboarding and offboarding procedures for secure and efficient user management.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or IT Engineer, preferably in a remote or distributed company.
- Experience designing and implementing device management policies from scratch.
- Expertise in endpoint management tools
- Strong experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux administration, including Active Directory, Azure AD, and SSO solutions.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and frameworks (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, EDR).
- Experience managing firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
