THE WORKLockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic and diverse Information Technology team, supporting the Air Force Special Operations (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract. As a member of this team, you will work on a recurring multi-year program, collaborating with a multifunctional team of experts leading the way in flight training system sustainment and development.
In this fast-paced environment, you will draw on your education and experience, as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin, to solve problems and contribute to a highly skilled Agile program. Your primary focus will be on the installation of servers and clients, configuring operating systems, services, applications, storage, virtualization, and custom software in support of test, training, and cybersecurity evaluations of DoD systems and associated computing environments.

Basic Qualifications• Knowledge of automating, installing, configuring, administering, patching, and security hardening commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source applications, including operating systems
• Five years of experience as a Systems Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Experience performing regular server updates, patch management, and software installations
• Knowledge of server administration, server architecture, specifications, software, networking, and virtualization
• Familiarity with Domain architecture, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Domain Trust, and file share management
• Experience with common industry operating systems, such as Windows Server (2008-2019), Linux, Solaris, RHEL, and CentOS
• Understanding of solution implementation for Advanced Computer Security Directives and Requirements, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMWare ESXi, VSphere, Horizon, and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
• Current and active CompTIA Security+ Certification (note: active certification must be obtained prior to establishing a start date)
Desired skills• System administration experience in DoD environments, including requirements analysis, design, hardware evaluation, configuration, and testing of custom software and configurations
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+, and other relevant certifications from Microsoft, Linux, Oracle, and VMWare
• Scripting skills and experience, including Python, Linux shell, Java, PowerShell, and other programming languages (e.g. C++, Perl)
• Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other industry standards and best practices

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
