We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Head, IT to lead our dynamic technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where you will have the opportunity to manage, design, and evolve our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT teams, implementing and maintaining VPNs, working with Palo Alto Firewalls, incorporating Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Cisco Meraki VPN.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT department, ensuring the team is aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to ensure network security, data integrity, and optimal system performance.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of VPNs, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco Meraki VPN.
- Implement and incorporate Software-Defined Networking (SDN) into our existing network infrastructure.
- Manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other department heads to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software technologies to enhance business operations.
- Ensure the company's data remains secure by keeping up to date with the latest security threats and implementing preventative measures.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and other employees regarding new technologies and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT management role.
- Proven experience managing and maintaining VPNs, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco Meraki VPN.
- Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a must.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and network security best practices.
- Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about how IT can support the company's goals.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP) would be advantageous.
