Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Architects, develops, and implements architecture for multi-site, multi-cloud systems, applications, security, and other highly specialized IT architecture. Serves as an enterprise infrastructure architect for ERP and mission critical systems. Recognized as expert in field, knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices. Advises the CIO and CTO on infrastructure architecture and processes as well as personnel issues. Works without supervision with complete latitude for independent judgement.
Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):
- Technical leadership of large higher-ed ERP systems
- Extensive experience leading both development and operations personnel
- Experience advising C-level higher-ed administration
- Expert level SAML and Shibboleth
- Experience with Git-based CI/CD platforms
- Strong Linux command line and operating system skills
- Experience developing infrastructure in AWS
- Understanding of basic networking principles (CIDRs, gateways, routers, firewalls, DNS, NAT)
- Knowledge of DevOps principles
- Knowledge of scaled agile development principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of identity management processes (authn, authz, password management, MFA and provisioning)
Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):
- Experience with server virtualization
- Experience with containers
- Experience with load balancers
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Required Certifications (All four are ideal, but at a minimum two certifications):
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- GitLab Verified Solutions Architect
- GitLab Certified Professional Services Engineer
- Certified SAFe 4 Agilist
