Monitors, tests, maintains, and repairs network and infrastructure elements for Clemson CCIT.
Monitors Clemson network, server, and application elements.
Resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution.
Applies state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
Controls network and system processing.
Responds to customer inquiries and alerts via:
- Emails
- Incoming calls
- Walk-ins
- Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities.
- Performs other operational duties as assigned, such as:
- Meetings
- Project work
- Administration and facilities requirements.
- Configures network and system resources and maintains corresponding system records and documentation.
- Provides tier II support as per SME agreements.
- Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems.
- Conducts pre-configured port activations on network switches.
- Assists with implementing network automation tools.
- Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base.
- Participates in training and cross-training for tier II.
- Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
