Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Systems Admin in Deerfield Beach, FL. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the Active Directory environment, including user accounts, group policies, and security settings
- Manage and support virtual desktop environments, ensuring high availability and performance for end-users (Citrix, AVD, AWS Workspaces)
- Provide support for critical back-office applications, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal functionality (O365, Exchange Online, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, SAP GUI)
- Manage and support desktop computers and other devices, including iGEL devices, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network printers and related devices
- Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency within the IT infrastructure
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget, while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures
- Provide guidance and training to other Sys Admins and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely support and resolution of technical issues
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's efficiency
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in a system administration role, with a focus on the responsibilities listed above
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS Workspaces, and iGEL devices
- Experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Nutanix, HyperV)
- Experience working with ServiceNow
- Knowledge of project management methodologies or project management experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with MS Active Directory, MS O365, Exchange Online, GPOs, and PowerShell scripting
- Basic network troubleshooting involves identifying and resolving connectivity issues to ensure smooth communication within an organization (IP management, Subnets, gateways, DNS, DHCP, ping, traceroute)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
