JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary -- Essential Functions/Duties
A System Administrator performs operational support and on-going maintenance of systems required to meet contract objectives. The System Administrator will coordinate with JT4 departments, the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), and external units to provision, test, maintain, and resolve computer system issues and works closely with Cyber Security to maintain a high-level of systems integrity and security.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
- Support all system-related issues for assigned systems.
- Provide troubleshooting support of system hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and administer servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Support operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operations, and maintenance of servers.
- Organize and secure directory structure and assist/train team members in its utilization.
- Deploy and administer software patches and updates.
- Administer backup and recovery services.
- Monitor systems for health.
- Establish reports and trends systems performance.
- Strong ability to provide hands-on server support.
- Partner with other IT team members with strong collaborative capabilities to build a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
- Ability to author and maintain IT procedural documentation.
- Provide regular systems monitoring and standardized reporting to identify system hardware and/or software and operating system problems, this includes identifying problems and determining the most efficient way to resolve them.
- Maintain documentation of all hardware and software implementation, maintenance, and upgrades, this includes equipment and software inventories and maintenance documentation.
- Collaborate with the other System Administrators, Cyber Security, and other functional business units.
- Apply Cyber Security standards, directives, guidance, and policies to an architectural framework as directed.
- Follow policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Possess excellent Customer Service skills.
- Perform diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for customer issues.
- Understanding and experience with storage technologies.
- Evaluate existing technologies and provides recommendations for enhancements.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent scientific or technical discipline from an accredited academic institution or a combination of formal education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree.

- Knowledge of and experience with AD, DHCP, DNS, File, and Print Servers.
- Knowledge of and experience with backup and recovery methods and verification.
- Knowledge of and experience with Storage (SAN, NAS, Local, Attached)
- Knowledge of and experience with Active Directory and design.
- Ability to assist/design in the architecture of new networks, submit requests for hardware/software, and deploy it.

Requirements -- Education, Technical, And Work Experience
Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training. Possess five years related experience or combination of experience in computer system basics and/or related areas of expertise. Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.
Must possess or obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certification with 180 days of your hire date.
In addition, a Systems Administrator II must possess the following qualifications:
- Must have specific experience in the use of MS window server environments and various computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), database, MS Office and Web enabled applications
- Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines
- Employee is expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments
- Must be capable of updating or repairing computer systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $67,000 to $94,000 annually.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.
