Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer (CCPO) to lead compliance and privacy initiatives across a comprehensive healthcare network. The CCPO is responsible for designing, overseeing, and enhancing compliance and privacy programs while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across partner healthcare organizations.
The CCPO reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees, with additional reporting to Senior Management and the Network General Counsel for operational coordination. This role supervises a team of Multiple compliance and privacy professionals, including managers, officers, and specialists.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and manage compliance and privacy programs across the healthcare network.
· Report on material issues to the Network Audit Committee and Senior Management.
· Oversee and guide a team of compliance and privacy professionals.
· Collaborate with the General Counsel, Senior Management, and leadership at partner organizations to identify compliance needs and resolve issues.
· Serve as a primary contact for state and federal agencies regarding compliance and privacy matters.
· Work closely with the Information Services Security Officer to address privacy and security concerns.
· Ensure compliance with laws governing healthcare reimbursement, fraud, abuse, and patient privacy.
Qualifications
· Preferred Education: Juris Doctor or Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field.
· Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance and privacy, with demonstrated management experience in hospital or healthcare systems.
· Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems, fraud and abuse regulations, and patient privacy laws.
· Proven experience in resolving healthcare regulatory compliance and billing issues, as well as organizational ethics and corporate responsibility.
· Ability to work effectively in complex organizational settings and interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
