Job Responsibilities:
· Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability in a manufacturing environment (people, process, machine).
· Troubleshoot (test and analyze) hardware and software issues used to manage and query large datasets related to production processes. Monitors systems, tracks performance and status, and helps to identify and repair network failures.
· Ensure electrical safety standards are met.
· Repair or replace damaged hardware.
· Upgrade systems to enable compatible software.
· Install and upgrade software to ensure security at the user level.
· Upgrade systems with new software releases and models.
· Perform tests on new hardware and software.
· Create and maintain technical documentation and manuals.
· Train staff in new technologies.
· Respond to IT issues, hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc. and partner with plant and corporate Engineering resources when necessary.
· Provide remote technical support where required, with the ability to travel when necessary.
· Provides support to corporate IT when needed.
· Set up accounts and permission access when required.
· Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
· Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided.
· Direct unresolved issues to the next level for support.
· Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures or services.
· Most work is completed during regular business hours, however, must be flexible to work during odd hours of the night or on weekends when required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT and OT environments.
- Experience using platforms such as Python, Java, Matlab, C++, SQL or similar.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, and DCS.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices in both IT and OT domains.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Profibus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT and OT system issues.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms and services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and occasional travel.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CISSP are a plus.

· Experience using platforms such as Python, Java, Matlab, C++, SQL or similar.

· Ability to develop understanding of manufacturing processes and overall operations and supply-chain function.

· Attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and to identify any minor issues before they become major problems.

· Organizational skills to manage various tasks and maintain records of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.

· Customer service skills for assisting users and providing them with appropriate solutions and satisfaction.
· Produce written reports, prepare presentations and training materials, and generate standard documentation to support Sugaright Manufacturing Way.
· Ensure relevant on-going learning and development of all employees in software tools and identify improvement opportunities.
· Support the development and preparation of formal capital requests.
· Ensure operating in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
