We are looking to add a Network Engineer to our Engineering Department. Responsibilities for this position include:
- The Network Engineer is responsible to the Manager, Technical Infrastructure. S/he works as an empowered member of a self-directed work team committed to common purpose and goals and holds self mutually accountable for team outcomes. Exhibits behaviors that meet cultural expectations of the organization.
- Shares, as scheduled, a 24-hour, 7-day week responsibility for all aspects of team functions, which may include on-call coverage.
- The Network Engineer assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates enterprise servers, their operating systems, and related software systems and applications.
- The Network Engineer has technical expert knowledge of enterprise server software and hardware, including developing enterprise wide standards for the maintenance, capacity planning, availability, continuity, security, and performance tuning necessary to support organization-wide Information Systems. The Sr. Network Engineer serves as a security advisor for server/systems related security processes.
- The Network Engineer implements the enterprise server/systems strategy and architecture including performance, capacity, availability, continuity, and security management. S/he implements the policies, procedures, and standards regarding server/systems performance, capacity, availability, continuity, and security. S/he is accountable for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the GoGr8 enterprise servers/systems and associated resources.
- The Network Engineer is responsible for functioning within scope of individual education, and competence.
- The Network Engineer must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree with a major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering. Preferred, Masters degree with a major in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering.
- Previous management or project management experience
- Experience utilizing a formal quality management methodology
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Network Engineering and or Systems Engineering at the Enterprise level (100+ servers & 1000+ workstations)
- 5+ years hands-on experience in the design, installation, maintenance and management of enterprise server / systems infrastructure equipment (cabling, servers, operating systems, monitoring tools/systems)
- 5+ years hands-on experience in the design, installation, maintenance and management of VMWare & Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments
- Experience with designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise storage, archiving, and backup and recovery technologies
- Experience designing, implementing, configuring and maintaining high availability enterprise systems (load balancing, clustering, etc.)
- Experience with enterprise level patch management
- Experience participating in Corporate Disaster Recovery Planning projects as either a vendor assisting a customer or as a technical lead in a corporate environment
- 3+ years advanced experience with MS Operating workstations and server systems (Windows 9x, NT, 2000, 2003, 2008)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ OTHER:
- MCITP Enterprise Administrator on Windows 2008 (or higher)
- VMWare VCP (4.1 or higher)
- Citrix CCA for Citrix XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2003 or 2008 (or higher)
The following are not required, but are highly preferred:
- VMWare VCAP or VCDX (4.1 or higher)
- Citrix CCA for Citrix XenApp 6
- Citrix CCAA for Citrix XenApp5 for Windows Server 2008
- Citrix CCA for Citrix XenDesktop 5
- MCITP – SharePoint Administrator 2010
- One or more of the following network certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCIP, CCIE, SNRS, CVOICE
- One or more of the following security certifications: GIAC, GSEC, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GAWN, GCWN, GCFW, or other relevant certification
- PMP, Six-Sigma, ITIL
