Description
We are in the process of expanding our team in the Financial Services industry, based in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a Systems Engineer, who will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our complex server systems and applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain both Windows and Linux server operating systems.
- Administer Windows services including Print, GPO, AD Sites and Services, DHCP, DNS, IIS, and others.
- Ensure the smooth running of core applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Domain Controllers, SharePoint, SCCM, Certificate Services, and Federated services.
- Oversee DNS & DHCP configuration and understand record types and options & scope types.
- Carry out vulnerability remediation and reporting on Windows and Linux servers.
- Create, update, and maintain PowerShell and bash scripting, including task Scheduler or Cron jobs.
- Implement and enforce standards throughout the operating system and documentation.
- Review and maintain daily jobs including scheduled tasks.
- Ensure the security and hardening of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Provide management recommendations for budgeting and business plans.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems relating to TCP/IP, certificates, SNMP, AD Joins, and document root causes and corrective actions.
- Document and diagram current and future system and network expansions.
- Analyze compute, storage, and other hardware servers for potential issues.
- Work with third-party vendors to expedite resolution.
- Develop an understanding of the business side of our organization and interface effectively with all user areas.
- Research, plan, design, and implement compute & storage solutions.
- Update IT departmental procedures as it applies to telecom systems scheduling, tuning, and maintenance.
- Document internal support processes and procedures and build runbooks.
Requirements
- Must have a deep understanding of Cisco Technologies
- Proficient in Citrix Technologies
- Mastery of Cloud Technologies is required
- Familiarity with DELL EMC Technologies is mandatory
- Must have experience with Dell Technologies
- Proficiency in AB Testing is necessary
- Possess strong knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience with Automation is crucial
- Must have a working knowledge of AWS Technologies
- Familiarity with Backup Technologies is required
