Markesman Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The ISSO will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of our information systems by performing system audits, managing accounts and access, writing Request for Approvals (RFA), participating in inspections, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of system functions and security measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in information systems security or related field.
- Familiarity with security regulations and guidelines such as NIST, FISMA, and DoD directives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a government or defense contracting environment.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks such as RMF.
- Experience with security assessment and authorization processes.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies for vulnerability scanning and risk assessment.
