Job Summary:
We are looking for a proficient Linux Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our Linux environments in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience with RHEL versions 6-9, with a preference for those skilled in RHEL Satellite for patching.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and upgrade Linux systems (RHEL 6-9), focusing on performance tuning and patch management using RHEL Satellite (preferred).
- Create automation scripts in Bash or Python and use tools like Ansible for efficient deployments.
- Manage network settings and enhance system security.
- Oversee cloud-based workloads and manage containerized applications.
- Design backup strategies and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and troubleshoot issues using detailed log analysis.
- Develop systems that are highly available and scalable, ensuring smooth operations under varying loads.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Linux system administration, especially RHEL 6-9.
- Strong skills in scripting and automation with Bash or Python.
- Proficient in networking, security protocols, cloud technologies, and virtualization.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and log analysis tools.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- CompTIA Linux+
- Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)
