Konami Gaming is looking for a Software Engineer (Java) III/IV to join our team!
Java Embedded Software Engineer:
As a member of the SYNKROS interface team, this position will primarily be focused on designing and implementing new features and test plans, as well as maintaining existing features, for the 3rd-party SYNKROS interfaces. This includes building integration features on top of a variety of protocols, including TCP, HTTP, REST, and SOAP based services. This role will be modernizing and improving the performance of existing applications. The position is primarily a coding but could include infrequent debugging assistance in resolving production issues.

Our Java Embedded Software Engineer is not a Web Developer or Spring role, NOT a JSP/JSF/JavaScript role.
What you'll be doing:
This role is going to serve as an Embedded Java Core role, performing, coding functions, using:
Required Skills:
- Core Java
- Socket programming
- Thread programming
- TCP/IP stack knowledge
- JDBC, Oracle, ORM or other Database technology
- JSON, REST, JAXRS
- Junit/Testing/TDD
- Experience debugging performance issues using diagnostic tools
Preferred / Nice to have skills:
- API design
- Containerization/Docker experience
- JMeter experience
- Jersey and Jackson experience
Helpful Skills:
- Linux basics
- Ability to read code and learn different code bases quickly
- SOAP
- PL SQL
- Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent years of education and experience
- 5-8+ years experience in an Embedded Core JAVA Software Engineer function
