Senior Control Software Engineer

Rolls-Royce are running a hiring event in Cincinnati on 29th/30th January to support our expansion of the Controls Engineering team. As a Senior Control Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to meet with an be interviewed by some leaders with our team.
The event will also provide you with knowledge around our projects, products and the exciting work you could get involved in if successful. The role will be based out of our Indianapolis site, however there is an opportunity to work remotely, or we can offer a relocation package to support your move.
In our team as a Senior Control Software Engineer, you will develop, write, test and document embedded code for safety critical electronic engine control and monitoring systems.
You may be involved at any stage of a project lifecycle from concept development, integrated/component testing through final production release. You'll usually work in project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering.

Key Accountabilities:
- Strong development experience
- Experienced in design and development of embedded software solutions
- Experience in software design patterns
- Familiarity with Integration (software/hardware and software/software) and component level testing
- Familiarity on software lifecycle (Design to release)
- Knowledge of software testing framework
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline with 2+ years Software (traditional and model-base) experience, OR
- Master’s degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software OR
- PhD in degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ year of experience in embedded safety critical software engineering
- Use a DO-178 compliant software coding process.
- Control software experience
- Digital logic design experience
- Experience with verification and testing frameworks
