What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):
To be considered for a Software Engineer position in the Database Technologies organizations, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below.

- Have graduated with a Bachelor’s/Master's/PhD in Computer Science (or an equivalent science/engineering field) within 12 months of actual start date. Start date for all new grad roles: Summer/Fall 2025
- Are strongly proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in the following programming languages: C, Java, and Python
- Have the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in very complex systems with the highest quality.
- Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research three or more of the following areas:
- Distributed Storage
- Database Systems / Relational Database
- Cloud Computing
- Computer Networking
- Linux / Unix OS
- Parallel Programming
- Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.
- Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
- Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025.

ResponsibilitiesReal World Performance (RWP) team is a global cohesive team of about 20 engineers or so. Our charter is to enable Oracle customers to build their business applications on Oracle database and enjoy the highest performance and efficiency to solve customers’ business questions. Moreover, RWP has another role to educate software developers and architects on performance analysis to build scalable, reliable applications. RWP is part of Oracle’s database development organization to drive features, create/optimize algorithms within the database and any application logic. RWP is a trusted advisor within Oracle and with hundreds of customers worldwide. RWP develops performance analysis tools.RWP touches daily customer topics. RWP’s performance methodology includes all components of a business application is based on (just to mention a few data model, application logic, data flow). RWP offers any engineer to grow knowledge, to be creative, deliver quality work and be proud of their accomplishments.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
