OVERVIEW:
The IT Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator's role is to plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of ERP systems and applications. This role ensures the smooth operation of these systems, optimizing efficiency and providing strategic insights to support organizational goals. The individual applies proven communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and best practices to guide their team in achieving optimal system performance.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Planning:
- Ensure ERP and CRM applications align with organizational objectives and address end-user requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and define end-user requirements for CRM data access and usability in line with business goals.
- Assist in creating long-term strategic goals for maintaining high data quality in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for CRM software administration and usage.
Acquisition & Deployment:
- Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy ERP and CRM applications and systems.
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications to determine intended functionality.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and system owners during testing phases.
- Ensure new software integrations meet functional requirements and compliance standards.
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate with software suppliers to address issues or emergencies.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies or leverage existing investments.
Operational Management:
- Work with network administrators and software engineers on quality assurance and data processing.
- Establish service-level agreements and provide on-call technical support for CRM users.
- Implement data-cleansing initiatives to maintain database integrity.
- Benchmark CRM initiatives against best practices for optimal performance.
- Update fields to align with new business rules, processes, or data warehouses.
- Develop and conduct training sessions to propagate CRM knowledge.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, patches, and upgrades.
- Manage all aspects of the CRM team, including hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, and scheduling.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- 4+ years of experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of ERP and CRM systems.
- 2+ years of experience managing major ERP and CRM application integrations or product releases.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven expertise in directing the development and implementation of ERP and CRM solutions.
- Hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.
- Advanced business acumen with a demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams and projects.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of setting clear expectations and coaching team members.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with advanced application.
- Expertise in problem-solving, solution development, and mentoring others in these areas.
- Experience managing budgets across multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Advanced time management skills, demonstrated in managing complex programs and coaching others.
- Highly developed presentation and delivery skills.
