Based in Las Vegas or Remote. Within the Caesars Entertainment Digital Products team, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience, we’re looking for a Senior DevOps engineer who can: 1) be responsible for maintaining current infrastructure 2) Create new infrastructure to lead our teams through a cloud migration 3) Partner and coach development teams and vendors to help set standards to ensure all teams can engineer scalable, reliable, and resilient applications.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain technology infrastructure including Windows/MSSQL, Linux a plus
- Lead the planning and migration of existing applications from VMware to AWS cloud
- Provide leadership to engineers on the team while also researching and solving technical problems independently.
- Be a community Leader in the wider Caesars engineering community (i.e., Lodging Management Systems, Martech and Content Ops, IT Ops, Cyber Security, etc.) in product development and support of production systems.
- Lead teams in creating and maintaining standards, processes, & controls for release & deployment activities
- Support domain registrations requests and SSL certificate requests and installations
- Respond to system outages and participate in root cause analysis which may include having to work off hours when necessary.
- Submit Change/Incident Management Tickets, coordinate & obtain approvals.
- Collaborate with various teams and vendors to ensure appropriate configurations for application architecture (networking/firewall/security/etc)
- Create and maintain solution documentation (architecture diagrams, operating procedures, etc)
- Support and improve efficiency and effectiveness of tools (CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, automation, and release)
- Monitor and manage system performance and ensure the highest level of availability and security
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Qualifications
- 5 – 7 years of professional DevOps experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies
- Experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Version Control Systems (Git, SVN a plus)
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux a plus
- Advanced systems competence in Windows Server Technologies, Active Directory, IIS, File Systems Management, Virtual environments, and MS-SQL
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Process-oriented with great documentation skills
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies

- Experience with Dynatrace
- Experience with React, React Native, .Net and C#
- Experience with Playwright for end to end testing
- Experience with OpenAPI for documentation
