Our client is looking for an experienced Azure FinOps practitioner to help support their latest offering, Autonomous Discount Management for Azure. Your mission will be to work with both prospects and customers to solve complex cloud cost optimization problems and answer both strategic and tactical FinOps questions. You’ll also be involved in the development of new optimization services, working closely with the Product team. The ideal candidate already possesses deep experience in the FinOps discipline as an optimization practitioner. We’re looking for insanely curious problem solvers with strong computational skills. This role works with other FinOps Specialists and offers significant potential for growth within a rapidly expanding organization.
Responsibilities:
Perform Cloud Cost Optimization analysis and communicate the results (verbal and written)
Subject Matter Expert on Reservations, Azure Spot VMs, and Savings Plans for Compute
Work with Sales and Customer Operations to answer questions surrounding the ProsperOps platform and cloud rate optimization methods
Work with the Product team to develop new optimization services to enhance customer discounts
Create and deliver demos in support of sales activities
Scope and assist with Savings Analysis configurations
Assist with building features and automation in support of the Savings Analysis and other reports and tools
Requirements:
2+ years experience in a FinOps or Engineering role with a cloud service provider, consultancy, or company using Azure at scale
Prior experience as an Analyst or Presales Engineer is highly preferred
Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management and Billing Tools, 3rd party cloud management platforms, or home-grown applications
Strong computation, writing, and communication skills
Ability to make API calls and run queries to collect and manipulate data. Experience with PowerBI, Azure Synapse, and Command Line is a huge plus
