Position Function:
This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the bank's infrastructure and participates in various projects to continually improve its efficiency and security. Position requires a high-level of technical knowledge to perform problem identification and resolution of hardware, software, network carrier, and security issues. Assists the Senior level with development and installation of new hardware and software to deliver capabilities required to achieve business goals. May lead simple projects as assigned. Assists the Senior Cloud Systems Engineer with complex projects as assigned. Operates across several computer environments and platforms.

Primary Accountabilities:
Cloud Engineering – Assists the Senior Cloud Systems Engineers with
- Performing root cause analysis and providing documentation for recurring or complex issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving server-related issues (e.g., Windows/Linux servers).
- Configuring and managing virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Architecting, Implementing, and Managing, advanced networking setups (e.g., DHCP Scope, VLANs, BGP, HSRP, EIGRP, MPLS, NAC profiling).
- Creating, Maintaining, and Troubleshooting Certificates, CA authorities, and roots
- Maintaining and troubleshooting routing and ACL
- Installing, Diagnosing, and resolving storage-related issues (e.g., SAN, NAS). Storage Protocols (CIFS/DFS). SYSVOL
- Providing advanced database support (e.g., SQL queries and troubleshooting)
- Creating and deploying custom scripts for automation (e.g., PowerShell).
- Architecting, managing and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure Stack HCI, spinning up new servers, maintaining VNET).
- Planning and executing system migrations (e.g. Horizon to Azure, Azure to Azure Site Replication)
- Reviewing and remediating vulnerability security assessments and setting baseline configurations to harden systems.
- Perform after hours system maintenance to update enterprise applications
- Architect, Install, and Manager new server and database for enterprise applications.
- Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues.
- Coordinating disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Setting up and maintaining monitoring systems, responding to system alerts.
- Deploying and managing enterprise identity and access management (IAM) systems.
- Managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
- Providing advanced support for email and messaging platforms (e.g., Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure Entra).
- Implementing advanced group policies and domain configurations in Active Directory.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
- Managing and troubleshooting web servers (e.g., IIS, Apache).
- Working with third-party vendors for escalated support on specialized systems.
- Reviewing and applying critical security patches for enterprise systems.
- Designing and deploying high-availability and failover solutions.
- Handling escalations for critical incidents and outages.
- Advising on system architecture improvements and future technology needs.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation for complex systems.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams
Project Implementation Support
- Lead simple projects or act as the team lead in areas of a project including but not limited to:
- Preparing the project plan
- Developing scope and objectives
- Designing network architecture, integration, and installation
- Executing project’s objectives and design
- Assist the Senior Cloud Systems Engineer with managing complex projects
Network Security and Monitoring Support
- Provides maintenance, installation, upgrades, and service support for all bank network security systems. Responsible for assisting Senior Cloud Systems Engineers with establishing and enforcing policies and procedures related to network security and performance.
Network Management Support
- Provides network service support such as building servers and workstations, performing software testing and upgrades, and assisting network users with network related problems. Ensure Enterprise systems are available to internal and external customers for access 24x7 and operating at peek performance levels. Assists in communication and coordination of network maintenance schedules, backups, and other downtime to users.
Data Communications and Networking Support
- provides internal team member support in the administration and management of the bank’s data communications network. Assist in the development, implementation, and support of the enterprise voice and data network – consisting of LAN, VLAN, WAN, high-speed Internet, and VPN connections.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Experience in IT, specifically working with the Microsoft Operating System, or related experience required (A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience.)
- Experience with VMware virtualization environment from hypervisor preferred.
- Experience with SAN infrastructure preferred.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
- Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
