Our services command a distributed fleet of energy systems, manage electricity service for homes across Texas, and accelerate our deployment operations through automation and modern tooling. As a software engineer on this team, you’ll be responsible for designing and building robust software systems to manage, monitor, and control the heart of Base.
Responsibilities:
- Build Scalable Systems: Design and implement backend services and APIs that process and analyze real-time energy data.
- Cloud Mastery: Develop and optimize cloud applications in Golang and Python.
- Automate with Precision: Employ Terraform to manage infrastructure as code, and Temporal to orchestrate complex workflows for deployment and operations.
- Collaborate with the Best: Work closely with our data scientists, IoT experts, and product designers to create seamless solutions that connect hardware, data, and the cloud.
- Solve for Impact: Every line of code contributes to revolutionizing the grid that powers our society.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in a backend language (Go, Python, Java, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Bonus: Experience with IoT, distributed systems, or DevOps practices.
