最初の3か月以内に
- VMwareのクラウドサービスプロバイダープログラム、ライセンスガイドライン、製品ポートフォリオについて理解を深め、業務の基盤を構築する。
- クラウドソリューションや業界動向に関する知識を継続的に習得し、ビジネスと技術の両面でスキルを高める。
- サービスプロバイダーと信頼関係を築き、VCF(VMware Cloud Foundation)を活用したクラウドサービスの導入を支援。初期段階の概念実証(PoC)やパイロットプロジェクトの推進をサポートする。
3か月以降に
- 既存および新規クラウドパートナーと協力し、新しいクラウドサービスを市場に提供するための技術支援を行う。
- パートナーが顧客の要望に応える魅力的な提案を作成し、その成功を技術面からサポートする。
- パートナーのクラウド戦略について信頼されるアドバイザーとしての地位を確立し、VMwareのクラウドソリューションの採用を促進するビジョンや戦略を共に策定する。
業務内容
このポジションでは以下の業務を担当いただきます:
- 日本国内の主要パートナーと連携し、クラウドソリューションの普及を推進する。
- VMwareのベストプラクティスに基づき、技術やアーキテクチャの観点からクラウドサービスプロバイダーを支援し、サブスクリプション収益の向上に貢献する。
- 社内外の多機能チームと協力し、プロジェクトの成功に向けて円滑な調整を行う。
- パートナーとの共同ビジネスプランを策定し、クラウド市場での成長を支援する。
- 政府機関や業界団体に働きかけ、最新技術を規制やガイドラインに反映させる(例:ソブリンクラウド)。
業務を通じて、高度な技術力を活かすと同時に、ビジネスレベルでの日本語/英語能力が求められます。

VCSP Cloud Solution Architect

We need someone who is passionate about phenomenal customer and partner outcomes, work collaboratively across VMware teams to enable the Cloud Providers to conceptualize, productize and sell their cloud services built on VMware Cloud solutions. You will drive VMware subscription licensing revenue by helping service providers sell more of their services to more of their customers.
Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Within your first 3 months
- You will be expected to become competent with VMware’s Cloud Service Provider Program, licensing guidelines, product portfolios covered and standard operations.
- Be a continuous learner and develop ongoing competence on new solution areas, deep technical and business knowledge of Cloud solutions, industry directions and trends in line with solution roadmaps/acquisitions.
- Develop relationships with service provider teams as a trusted advisor and assist in leading and handling the technical agenda – which is primarily focused on helping the partner develop VCF-powered cloud offerings.
This will include running initial product/solution proof-of-concepts and pilots.
After 3 months+
- Drive technical closure for new service creation opportunities with existing and new VMware cloud partners.
- Help VMware cloud partners build compelling proposals to address specific customer cloud opportunities and drive technical closures for the same.
- Be a trusted advisor to cloud partners for their respective cloud strategies & leverage VMware internal ecosystem to work on a joint vision, strategy and technical/solution roadmap to drive consumption for related VMware Cloud Solutions.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As a member of the VCSP team, you will:
- Work closely with top Partner Executives/Sellers across the Japan region.
- Provide deep level technical and architectural guidance based on VMware’s best practices and drive the adoption of VMware products, services and technologies into Service Provider cloud offerings, eventually contributing to VMware’s subscription revenue
- Coordinate within an internal set of multi-functional teams such as Systems Engineers, Product Specialists, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management and external partners as described previously.
- Join hands with the Business Development Manager and contribute to developing a joint business plan with the partner.
- Influence governmental and industry bodies to incorporate leading edge technologies and thinking in their guidelines and regulations, for eg. Sovereign Cloud.
- This role requires business-level Japanese/English language proficiency.
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
This position reports to the Director of Cloud Solution Architecture, an experienced cloud professional based out of Singapore who joined VMware in 2019. The team consists of highly competent senior cloud solution architects. The regional team is spread throughout Asia Pacific.
The team culture is one based on building trust, on-going development through coaching, and giving back to the community through service learning.
