Payment systems using credit cards, e-money, the Web, and apps are no longer inseparable from our lives. Department Overview
Our system strategy department handles architecture design and introduction of new technologies to support the expanding service lineup, such as rapidly growing membership and transaction value, and upgrade Rakuten e-NAVI and Rakuten Card application services. The scope of responsibility is wide-ranging, including card payment systems, credit management systems, Rakuten e-NAVI, Rakuten Card application, call center systems and other systems.

Design, Develop and maintenance support for Cloud-Native applications
Contribute to application development on multiple large-scale, mission-critical systems
Design, Develop and maintain Kubernetes environment
Exploring, Deploying, building, and configuring deployment methodology and best practices of Rakuten Card cloud native environment
Keep current with new technologies and developments in the Cloud Native space
Constantly improve product quality, security, and performance
Catch bugs and style issues in code reviews
Work on Rakuten Card services modernization(Cloud migration, micro-services architecture)
Provide system solutions
Mandatory Qualifications
2+years of experience with object–oriented languages, including Java or C#
One or more related cloud native development experience from below
Hands on experience in implementing RESTful, gRPC, SOAP services in microservice development
Experience in Redis, Cassandra, Mongo, DynamoDB or Bigquery
Experience with messaging frameworks (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka etc.)
Docker, Kubernetes experience on productionoExperience in testing tools such as Junit, Cucumber、Groovy, Jmeter, IBM-RTW etc
Hands on experience in CI/CD (Spinnaker/jenkinsX/Harness/Circle CI)
Software Oriented Networking(load balancing, service proxy etc) experience
Experience with using development tools, including JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins
Desired Qualifications
Have a general understanding of enterprise application IT security
Good understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, Storage, etc.
Interest in Cloud Engineering, new technologies and developments
Bring user perspectives to the development
Candidates should be flexible / willing to work with team members with diverse backgrounds and ideas
Regularly achieve consensus with peers, and clear status updates
An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility
