Job Description:
Your role will be to merge development, security, and operations elements to improve end-to-end system security and maintain system uptime and scalability. You will work collaboratively with the development and operations teams to ensure systems are optimized for scalability, functionality, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and implement best practices and standards to improve the scalability, reliability, and security posture of the organization’s cloud infrastructure and software development practices.
- Automate deployment pipelines, system configurations, and monitoring systems.
- Automate security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management systems in deployment pipelines.
- Continuously monitor system performance and security to identify potential issues and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of system issues as well as forensic analysis of cybersecurity events.
- Develop or implement tools to assist in system management / monitoring and detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats.
- Conduct regular assessments, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to operational and security standards.
- Integrate security tools and processes into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure security is automated and continuous throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all stages of the software development cycle.
- Provide training and awareness to development and operations teams on best practices and system management.
- Document and communicate operational and security procedures, policies, and how they align with the company’s business processes.
- Lead efforts to achieve and uphold cybersecurity certifications such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and integrate them into the system architecture design where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a DevSecOps role.
- Comprehensive technical expertise in a variety of DevSecOps toolkits, such as Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git/Version Control Software, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
- Technical expertise of DevOps automation tools (Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Data Dog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or similar services.
- Experience with security tools such as Prisma Cloud, Snyk, Nessus, or similar services.
- Experience with information security frameworks and standards such as SOC2 and ISO27001.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
