IT Systems Administrator
MUST reside in Michigan and able to work onsite regularly. NOT eligible for relocation; A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Role Overview:
The IT Systems Administrator acts as the primary point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The role requires excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Address IT issues via email, chat, phone, or in person. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, escalating complex cases as needed.

User Assistance: Provide clear guidance to end-users, ensuring positive customer experiences and timely issue resolution.

Ticket Management: Record and manage IT support requests, ensuring proper categorization, escalation, and resolution tracking.

Setup and Configuration: Handle onboarding/offboarding processes, set up and maintain devices, manage user accounts, and support software installations (e.g., Microsoft 365).

Documentation: Maintain and update troubleshooting guides and technical documentation for future reference.

Monitoring: Proactively monitor system alerts and ticket queues, addressing or escalating issues as necessary.
Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows/macOS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common hardware/software troubleshooting.

Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or similar.

Additional Skills: Familiarity with ticketing systems, basic networking, and Active Directory.
Preferred Experience:
- Remote support tools, MDM, basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
- Knowledge of VPNs, IP troubleshooting, and file-sharing systems.
Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- May require occasional shift work or on-call support.
Additional Notes:
Candidates must have U.S. work authorization and cannot engage through C2C or third-party arrangements.
