YOUR MISSION
As a Network Engineer, you'll work hand-in-hand with the program's Network Architect to craft solutions that meet evolving demands. Your primary focus will be on high-performance LAN systems, ensuring secure and reliable operations. With opportunities to contribute to external communications and circuit integrations, you'll play a vital role in advancing mission-critical objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design & Deploy: Collaborate with the Network Architect to design, configure, and maintain a cutting-edge network infrastructure.
- Optimize & Secure: Review and enhance network systems, ensuring compliance with security standards and improving overall performance.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve: Analyze and resolve network issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders and the Customer PMO.
- Document & Audit: Prepare technical documentation, monitor performance, and execute inventory audits to support program success.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with security engineers to harden network infrastructure and participate in design reviews to enhance future networks.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Active Clearance: DoD TS/SCI with eligibility for a CI Polygraph.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-On Expertise: 5+ years in network support roles, with experience in: Spine-Leaf architecture and EVPN-VXLAN frameworks, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), QoS, VLANs, and Access Control Lists, and Network device configuration and maintenance
- Certifications: Must possess a Security+ certification.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to excel independently or in a team.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining network devices.
- Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience in managing/implementing network security measures.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
- Experience with various networking operating systems, such as Sonic and/or Cumulus.
- Familiarity with Dell switches and/or NVIDIA Spectrum-X switches.
- Basic knowledge or experience with Kubernetes, ansible, or other system languages or scripting.
- Experience with automated tools.
