Universal Robots offers a unique job opportunity to impact and ensure the company’s future success in the strategic position as Cloud Solutions Architect. You will lead the inception and continuous growth of the cloud infrastructure platform, which is shared among the two companies, Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MIR), who both belong to the continuously growing Industrial Automation Group (IAG) of Teradyne.

As first member of the team, which will support the two businesses in a rapidly growing connected services businesses, you will be working with extended teams from both UR and MIR. This will be a cross-functional team various stakeholders. So, it is key that you can establish trust and build relationships with the people across the organizations and various projects.

Based in Odense, Denmark and reporting to the Innovation leadership of UR, you will spearhead the infrastructure and framework of our next generation cloud platform.

Role and responsibilities

Responsible for the creation of a well-informed cloud strategy and coordinate the adaption process.
Drive alignment between key players across UR and MIR to ensure the fastest time-to-market and autonomy in the application teams, while leveraging a shared platform.
Design and implement a scalable cloud architecture and environment to effectively meet the strategic needs of a shared IAG cloud platform.
In collaboration with IT security develop cloud systems that secures our cloud privacy
Translating project-specific needs into a cloud structure that will suit those needs and considering the project needs in terms of resource usage and scalability.
Propose setups and methodologies to optimize customers’ cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
Carrying out deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management tasks within this implemented cloud structure.
Coordinating and ensuring cloud security across services.
Support and facilitate the integration of new applications into the cloud environment.
Responsible for training and guiding people in contact with the cloud structure.
Work closely with IT-department on integration of Warehouse and business-tool integrations (CRM, Workflow, BI, Finance- and Engineering tools)

Skills and qualifications

Being a key driver in building this new area of expertise it is crucial to have an exceptional understanding of cloud computing technologies and recent computing trends and are familiar with enterprise architecture and application integration. Further practical knowledge of Agile Software development methodology and adept knowledge of data modeling standard methodologies are key skills.

Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on Microsoft Azure
Experience in setting direction based on natural technical and leadership skills.
Confirmed experience in cloud solution implementation, infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
Experience from technology/software consulting or equivalent skills
Possess good written and verbal communication skills to optimally articulate complex cloud reports and relate with clients, IT development partners, and management.
