Position Overview:

The IT Administrator plays a critical role in both network and system management. This role requires a deep understanding of network structures and the ability to configure and maintain the equipment essential for the corporate network's operation. System-related tasks include server management, implementing enterprise applications, and providing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and support. Success in this position demands comprehensive expertise in network and system administration, infrastructure, and security. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, the ability to perform well under pressure, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop, install, maintain, and monitor IT environments
Plan for system performance, reliability, and capacity
Diagnose and resolve system issues
Research and evaluate new products and solutions
Manage hardware and software procurement and implementation
Handle maintenance agreements and licensing
Oversee account management and system policies
Ensure configuration management and compliance
Provide second-level user support
Configure, support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot network-related hardware and software (LAN, WAN, & WLAN)
Perform repairs and routine maintenance on network equipment
Support network-based applications for management and end users
Evaluate network security and prevent unauthorized access
Open and follow up on cases with external technical support
Maintain backups according to policy

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Proficiency with Windows Server technologies
Proficiency with CISCO Firewall and Switch technologies
Experience with server virtualization
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Preferred)
2-4 years of experience in an Associate IT Administrator role or similar
Ability to write simple scripts for monitoring and routine maintenance
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to staying updated with current business-related knowledge and information
Consistent demonstration of honesty, integrity, and professionalism
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude
Initiative and ability to build relationships within the department
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to share and build on ideas to develop new solutions
Effective under supervision, with the ability to work independently as needed
Competent in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines

Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with servers, switches, routers, IP phone systems, and virtual servers
Professional certification such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP
