Summary of This Role
As the CyberArk Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and maintenance of CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions within our organization. You will work with a team of CyberArk specialists and work closely with IT security, operations, and compliance teams to ensure the secure management of privileged accounts and access to critical systems and data. This role requires deep expertise in CyberArk technology, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a robust security posture.Monitors overall compliance with security standards and conducts periodic security reviews.
What Part Will You Play?
- Design, deployment, and configuration of CyberArk PAM solutions to protect privileged accounts, credentials, and sensitive assets.
- Develop and maintain privileged access policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of CyberArk administrators and specialists, providing guidance on technical issues, project priorities, and skill development.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate CyberArk with existing infrastructure, identity management systems, and security controls.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of CyberArk configurations, policies, and access controls to identify and remediate security risks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CyberArk capabilities, features, and implementation best practices, providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline privileged access management processes, leveraging CyberArk's APIs and integration capabilities.
- Monitor CyberArk system performance, health, and availability, implementing proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Provide oversight and support for incident response activities related to privileged access abuse, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends in privileged access management and cybersecurity.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: in Information Security or Computer Science preferred. Other majors will be considered.
- Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
- Strong understanding of privileged access management principles, including privileged account discovery, session management, and least privilege enforcement.
- Proficiency in CyberArk components such as Enterprise Password Vault (EPV), Privileged Session Manager (PSM), and Central Policy Manager (CPM).
- Experience with CyberArk integration with Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, and other identity providers.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading technical teams and driving projects to successful completion.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications such as CyberArk Trustee, Defender, or Sentry are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or other programming languages.
- Knowledge of other privileged access management solutions such as BeyondTrust, Thycotic, or Centrify.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their implications for privileged access management.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
