Job Description
- Understands business objectives and problems
- Identifies alternative solutions
- Performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
- Duties may include server administration tasks, domain/DNS tasks, Administrating user/domain security, and ITIL - ticketing
- Support for critical TIERS systems, 24x7 on-call rotation is required
- Some weekend work is required
- Support may require on-premises work at times
Skills And Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in network facilities and data processing techniques, computer hardware and software, network operating system and security software, and performance monitoring and capacity management tools
- 8 years of experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisor Experience with Hyper-V and VMware
- 8 years of experience administering Windows Systems (Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, PXE), Linux, Network Administration, IT Governance, and Security/Privacy policies and tools. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, DN
- 8 years of experience supporting Ansible, SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes and open-source software. Ability to direct and organize work activities
- 8 years of experience identifying problems/issues, analyzing and evaluating alternatives and recommending/implementing effective solutions
- 8 years of experience supporting Windows and Linux systems with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc)
- 8 years of experience providing server and application support on a 24X7 on-call basis and on a rotating schedule basis
- 8 years of experience with server hardware equipment replacement/upgrades
- 8 years of experience with ITIL - ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow
- Preferred: 6 years of experience preparing concise written reports, communicating effectively verbally and in writing, planning and coordinating server maintenance activities, supporting Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise, managing Web Application Firewall system (Imperva and/or AWS WAF).
