The Role
Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our growing Product team. In this role, you will be an analyst for Proofpoint Essentials as well as conduct general product and business analyses. You will work cross-functionally with the Channel, Finance, Engineering and Sales Operations organizations. Your impact will include development and ownership of BI dashboards and models for critical business metrics, strategic analyses, forecasting, and executive reporting. You will work collaboratively with fellow analysts, understand all business processes including billing, and will have the ability to produce usage reports for invoicing as necessary. You will own critical monthly reporting for executive review involving data ingestion and BI dashboard reporting. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the product team to gather requirements for and manage and launch a new billing platform to support a multimillion dollar software business.
Your day-to-day
- Own key reporting and analytics for executive reviews on product growth
- Understand end-to-end business management including monthly billing processes and work collaboratively with fellow analysts
- Work closely with Product Managers to gather requirements and manage/deliver a new billing platform to support a multimillion dollar business
- Manage and maintain BI dashboards and associated quarterly reporting
- Proactively identify opportunities and methods of automating key analyses
- Develop new business-critical analyses to proactively grow the channel business (including churn and competitive insights)
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Channel, and Sales stakeholders
What You Bring To The Team
- Experience in a similar business analyst position that includes reporting, dashboard creation and management
- Experience building & maintaining critical business dashboards (PowerBI, DAX,SQL)
- Prefer experience with macros, Python
- Ability to model in Excel to answer high-level business questions
- Sharp business acumen & critical-thinking mindset
- Strong communication and project management skills
