Job Description:
The Role
- Proactively ensures the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work closely with employees, vendors, and contractors
- Resolves issues by working with cross-departmental teams, customer support, application developers, vendor IT contacts, network and database administrators
- Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related system infrastructure
- Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the system infrastructure
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, standards and procedures.
- Manage server and endpoint patching of 3rd Party-Applications, individual hot fixes, firmware and driver updates, as well as remediate identified zero-day and ongoing vulnerabilities in the infrastructure
- Provide Tier-3 Support and Administration of M365 platforms and Email security platforms
- All system-related duties and responsibilities including testing, debugging and documentation of system software upgrades and new releases
- Management of backup operations for the enterprise, including VM, server, file, endpoint and application level backups, replications, and restores to support BC/DR initiatives Management of legal holds and ediscovery matters as requested by the business
- Assist and sometimes lead project teams with technical issues; other activities include research and development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of practical experience supporting Windows Server and VMware environments
- 3 years of experience with backup software solutions like Cohesity, Rubrik, Veeam, Druva, Datto, etc.
- 2 years of experience in with SAN/Storage technology like HP, Pure, NetApp, Dell, Synology
- Strong consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, judgment and the ability to work effectively with other systems technical staff, internal business customers, and external consultants and vendors
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, AzureAD, Office365, Email Routing, DNS
- Experience with End-Point Management and Administration: SCCM, MECM, Intune, or equivalent 3rd Party Solution
- Good understanding of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies
- Working knowledge of network switches, firewall, VPN configurations
- Experience supporting business applications for users
- Experience performing software installations and upgrades on desktops and servers
- Foundational knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and frameworks required
- Certifications in Server Compute/Storage solutions, Azure, AWS a plus
