About Team: GIF (Global Integrated Fulfillment)
The GIF (Global Integrated Fulfillment) system will be used by our in store fulfillment associates to fill customer orders generated by our eCommerce websites and will support processes like picking, storage, audit and dispensing customer orders.
What you'll do:
As a Software Engineer III on the GIF, you will be responsible for development of back-end applications.
Translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing small to large-sized complex projects and come up with high level designs.
Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects.
Review code developed by other developers and provided feedback to ensure best practices
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Models’ compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Provide Operational support for the business and production issues and help business & Product teams on data analysis on business solutions implemented.
Drives solutions that proactively monitor and alert teams to potential issues before they cause impact to business systems.
Participates in the Operational Excellence process to uncover root cause of impacting issue, ensure all issues within the team’s focus areas are properly resolved, and changes to processes, systems, coding, or testing are implemented to ensure the same issues do not occur in the future.
What you will bring:
Hands on development of web applications using REST, Kafka Messaging, Java, Spring Boot, Micro-services.
Experience with Java in building multi-threaded high performance scalable applications.
Thorough knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and experience implementing RESTFUL Web Services.
Solid design and coding skills in Java and/or Spring framework.
Prior ecommerce/retail software development experience is a plus.
Experience building high-performance, highly available and scalable systems.
Extensive hands-on experience building services using these technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate).
Hands-on experience with Kafka and other messaging services.
Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies preferably Azure.
Experience working with logging and application monitoring stack: Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, MMS

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
