Job Description:
Works with large datasets in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment -- AWS development and deployment to define cloud infrastructure. Monitors web services, databases and related infrastructure systems -- CloudWatch; Datadog/Splunk and ELK stack. Uses Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins, Docker, Concourse and Git. Designs, builds, and maintain software databases using Python, Bash, SQL, NOSQL, MongoDB, CouchDB and DynamoDB. Develops software applications using Java, React JS, and Spring. Uses Cloud database technologies – Cloud DevOps, IAM, VPC, ECS, Lambda, and RDS.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Mining DevOps Engineer (or closely related occupation) building software applications using Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Mining DevOps Engineer (or closely related occupation) building software applications using Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to achieve efficiency, performance, and agility for the deployment of software applications using automated DevOps processes -- Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Sonar; and writing declarative pipelines and integrating them with DevOps systems jobs.
DE collaborating with external vendors to perform locates on securities affecting short sale based on inventory and creating a version for business units, using Jenkins, S3, Lambda, shell scripts and API Gateways.
DE supporting the full software application development lifecycle (SDLC) -- analysis, design, testing, and deployment -- using Git/Stash, Artifactory, JIRA, AWS, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes according to Agile methodologies.
