I. Position Description
The Senior Business Analyst will support a broad scope of processes within the Operations, Projects, and Research teams. The Senior Business Analyst will lead activities such as data gathering, analysis, formulation of insights and recommendations, progress tracking, reporting of results, and cost modeling. The Senior Business Analyst will facilitate strategic project progress and as required, lead projects as part of the overall program portfolio of improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in strategic analysis and continuous improvement processes with a proven track record of inspiring change, developing relationships, and managing internal stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide analysis and reporting to support Operations in improving reliability and performance through timely flow of information and KPIs. The work should drive improved Operations business improvement and financial performance.
•Conducts research and analysis and develops outputs and recommendations for capital projects and initiatives.
•Participates in fact-gathering initiatives including internal/external interviews and third-party research to support project workplan.
•Coordinating with Finance, Commercial, Sales, Treasury, HSE and Accounting functions to deliver Operations plan.
•Assists in project workplan development and deliverables design.
•Supports capital budget management/governance and project excellence through Ecobat Project Management common process.
•Conducts analysis of data to drive and support findings and recommendations.
•Develops and delivers presentations and reports used to communicate project findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
•Participates as team member in internal client meetings to review analysis.
•Coordinates and shares project activities with internal clients and external resources, as required.
•Identifies savings opportunities using business diagnostic tools.
•Conducts analysis for strategic sourcing projects in conjunction with procurement organization.
•Develops financial modeling of R&D projects and special projects.
II. Performance Objectives
Under management direction, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating with the various functions in operations, finance, commercial, and procurement. Focus on building relationships and understanding sources of value for Operations. The Senior Business Analyst should integrate these inputs to provide a strategic view to support continuous improvement and increased value.
III. Qualifications
A.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required and a master’s degree in a related discipline is desired.
•A professional experience base of at least 4 years in finance, engineering, or business analysis, with an emphasis in projects/operational analysis preferred.
•Experience in consulting or project-based work is desired, scaling from pilot to production.
•Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is required.
•Experience with analytical applications and/or programming language (e.g., Python, R) and visualization applications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) desired.
•Understanding of data flow and structure in SAP and legacy systems.
B.QUALIFICATIONS
•Problem solving skills and ability to diagnose root causes of problems through analysis of business processes and develop appropriate solutions, Lean or Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.
•Logical thinking and analysis.

•Ability to manipulate, understand, and present meaningful summaries of large data sets.

IV. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
The Senior Business Analyst will be based in Ecobat’s corporate office in Dallas, Texas and may require domestic and/or international travel to the various sites to engage with operations and functional personnel.
Our secondary lead smelting operations are a heavy industry which includes various aspects of logistics, industrial machinery, mobile equipment, chemicals, furnaces, and confined spaces. This role will require you to work in such conditions, with utmost consideration for health, personal and process safety, and the environment.
