What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart Global Tech, you will be
responsible for developing and implementing Java based distribute solutions
to implement the solutions for challenging problems at Stores and associate
technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design,
prototype, and optimize advanced systems contributing to the success of
communication platform.

The Walmart Notifications Platform Team is responsible for
developing and managing a robust, cutting-edge system that keeps our
Associates, employees, stores and stakeholders informed and engaged. Our
team plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, real-time communication
across various channels. We work on various aspects of notifications - from
strategizing, coding, and testing to deployment and performance
monitoring. Our diligent efforts enable Walmart to deliver personalized
messages like work updates, order updates, and important alerts promptly

What you'll do:
As a Walmart Senior Software Engineer, you will play an important role in
designing, developing, and implementing digital communication solutions
that solve critical business problems related to communications in
supporting Walmart associates and stores.You are going to
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including business, product
and other software engineers to understand the business problem,
review business requirements, draft technical requirements, scope,
design, develop, test, and deploy services and systems.
• Collaborate with your team to perform design and code reviews,
provide constructive feedback, improve operational excellence to
ensure high quality, high availability, scalable and performant
systems.
• Create and enhance medium sized applications, services, or
significant set of components within a large application.
What you'll bring:
• At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience in building highly
available systems.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from inception to deployment of
project in production.
• Effective problem solving skills, ability to make design trade offs,
balancing the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of
design decisions.
• Working knowledge of service oriented architecture.
• Excellent with Java coding skills.
• Experience with Relational and/or NoSQL Database.
• Experience with CI/CD and operational excellence best practices.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Mentoring/coaching junior engineers

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
