What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary engineering organization focused on the development, integration, certification and support of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems and related sub-systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Sr. Engineer to join our world-class organization.
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electrical systems.
Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into systems or software requirements and designs.
Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.
Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.
English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
Travel is up to 10%.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Basic understanding of gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems.
2 years of experience in C++, MATLAB, Java, or Python.
2 years of experience with modeling tools for complex systems (Simulink).
Ability to execute in a multidisciplinary working environment.
Ability to execute in highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design.
