REQUIREMENTS: *** Telework authorized and will be in accordance with directorate policy. *** Recruitment, Relocation, Retention and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized. Roster may be used to fill vacancies for the next 120 days. Leads and/or participates in discussions, meetings, conferences, committees, or special ITAM projects. Prepares reports for each program within the section (i.e., IT Asset Management, IT Warehouse intake, IT Disposition services, and other reports as needed). Analyzes areas of concern, identifies problems, and resolves conflicts through persuasive discussions with management and user representatives. Consults with other officials and working groups, customers, and other organization personnel on ITAM concerns. Prepares reports encompassing long and short-range planning strategy recommendations and presents briefings covering recommendations for acquisition or changes in business practices through enhanced IT use. Performs technical and administrative lead duties on a regular and recurring basis for 25% or more of the time by identifying, distributing, assigning and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency and/or occupational specialization, adjusting to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of work assignments. Articulates and communicates to the team, assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review and established deadlines and time frames for completion of assigned work. Report to the supervisor periodically on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes. Acts in the capacity as the supervisor during his/her short-term absence. Represents the team/individual in dealing with the supervisor or manager for the purpose of obtaining resources (e.g., use of overtime or compensatory time, specialized training), and securing needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems or issues that arise affecting work assignments. Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working teams to accomplish tasks or projects and provide or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks. Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. Other Duties: 1. The work required the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. 2. This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station. 3. The employee must be willing and able t travel on military and commercial aircraft. 4. The employee may be required to work overtime. 5. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP)\ under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employee in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 6. The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license will be required for the position. 7. The work requires the employee to possess applicable license(s) or authorizations to operate assigned equipment. 8. The physical requirements of this position as determined by the manager are: walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 pounds from one location in the work center to another; climbing ladders 15 feet and under to retrieve and/or store items on shelving; bending, kneeling, and stooping to examine equipment; and operating equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies. KSA: 1. Expert knowledge of applicable policies, principles, methods, and techniques of IT assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing IT projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs work, and contractor performance. Ability to lead, provide assistance, and advice to resolve problems. 2. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of IT programs to include providing oversight of multiple ITAM life cycle management, safety, security and personnel management. 3. Knowledge of the principles and methods to lead, mentor, motivate and guide the functions of a team. Knowledge in directing and assigning work amongst employees’ by using determinative factors such as team members’ expertise, experience, competence, workload and availability, work priorities and team member functional development. 4. Ability to determine objectives, make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions, set priorities, cause change, and accomplish organizational goas based on analyzing, planning, and translating complex information. 5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Advanced ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Including communicating actively to exert influence over processes, results, and those who have a vested interest in the outcome. Ability to communicate effectively with customers to assess their requirements then provide information, expertise, and assistance to satisfy those needs.
