Responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, drive growth, and achieve business objectives. Partner with IT leadership and stakeholders to drive CIS and Tech Risk strategy and operations in support of all lines of business and corporate functions. This role will also drive overall business management activities including budgeting and long-range planning, ensuring timely internal and external compliance, supporting the BISO function, tracking KPI/KRI and metrics, and reporting to various committees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, drive, and manage the Webster CIS and Tech Risk Strategic Plan, balancing investments to enhance enterprise value and investments to mitigate risk.
- Manage overall CIS and Tech Risk strategy in partnership with IT leaders and stakeholders. Collaborate with IT leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
- Ensure the technology roadmap and strategic plan are designed to achieve CIO and CISO performance goals and objectives.
- Partner with lines of business to drive critical initiatives using scaled agile framework in lock step with Lean Portfolio Management process.
- Highlight key risk items and manage overall compliance and remediation status of Internal Audit, Regulatory, and Information Security findings.
- Perform Chief of Staff functions in managing CIS and Tech Risk operations including resource procurement management, budget management, vendor performance management, and strategic initiatives oversight.
- Lead the development and execution of metrics to measure CIS and Tech Risk performance objectives. Ensure alignment strategy and risk appetite.
- Track progress of strategic initiatives and provide input to management, executive, and board reporting.
- Support the ongoing operationalization of the BISO program and cybersecurity and technology risk awareness and training programs.
- Lead the supplier management efforts for significant IT third party relationships. Understand and influence alignment of vendor roadmaps to the CIO strategic plan. Establish processes for vendor scorecards to influence future selection opportunities.
- Advance the discipline of Technology Business Management, leveraging industry standards and validated best practices to communicate the cost, value, and quality of IT investments to business partners.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years information technology, data, or digital experience or relevant equivalent, 5+ years banking experience
- Strong collaborative mindset and ability to lead through influence.
- Sharp leadership and keen problem-solving skills required to navigate cross-functionally and address challenges.
- Executive presence and ability to convey the status of large technology investments to a non-technical audience.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience in a Scaled Agile operating model.
- Project Management experience preferred, but not required.
The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $160,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
