POSITION SUMMARY:
We currently have openings in the operations department for the following positions: (Shifts hours are from 5 am -5 pm)
- Identify different wire sizes using a micrometer
- Stop/Start line when needed using the control panel.
- Butt weld rod at payoff.
- Removes finished wire stands off of dead block when completed.
- Measure the diameter and determine whether the material meets the specification.
- Adds lubricant when needed.
- Keep the area in good housekeeping condition.
- Performs changeovers
- Understands correct die lineups per gauge
- Operates equipment at target speeds.
- Troubleshoots quality issues as they occur.
- Demonstrates good EHS practice.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.
- Read work instructions and set up machines as required to run different product sizes.
- Stand or walk for the entire shift and use arms and back to perform the tasks associated with the role.
- Must be able to work overtime as required with Saturday availability.
NECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be able to work in a team-based, positive, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to understand written instructions and follow procedures.
- Must be able and willing to work 5 AM-5 PM and on WEEKENDS. Employees average at least 40 hours a week, no more than 50.
