Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Solutions Architect (SA) to join our ITS Enterprise Architecture team. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect (EA) and will focus on supporting the evaluation and design of technical solutions that underpin USF's operations. Our ITS Division plays a critical role in supporting USF’s mission by ensuring that our technology infrastructure and landscape is robust, secure, and innovative.

At the direction of the EA, the SA will be supporting the University Technology Acquisition Request and Policy and process, including assessment and evaluation of technology and technical services that support USF’s faculty, staff, and students, ensuring that our technological capabilities align with the university's strategic goals and objectives.
You will:
Assist with translating business needs into system architecture that aligns with our strategic technology roadmap.
Help to evaluate proposed system acquisitions, ensuring they align with our enterprise architecture and strategic goals.
Support detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments, contributing to solution design.
Collaborate with IT domain experts (i.e. infrastructure, data integrations, application services) to gather technical details and requirements.
Create and maintain documentation related to solution architecture.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years experience as a solutions architect or enterprise architect or related role
Experienced with enterprise architecture methodologies and best practices.
Solid understanding of cloud architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, network systems, system architecture, and software development
Up-to-date understanding of evolving technologies such as generative AI, GPT and prompt engineering
Experience with Salesforce, Workday, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Informatica integration platforms (or similar)
Demonstrated experience in project management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Resourceful professional who can identify problems and opportunities, and proactively work effectively both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Motivated self-starter who can take initiative and move projects forward by prioritizing tasks, and asking clarifying questions when needed.
Certifications or courses in related fields, such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus.
Familiarity with higher education enterprise applications, such as student information systems, learning management systems, and customer relationship management systems are desired.
