Job Description – IT Network Engineer
FSLA Status:Exempt
Location:Lordstown, OH
Reports To: IT Application Manager
Direct Reports: None
Primary Function: IT Network Engineer provides support services such Networking Device configurations, Security Device configurations, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and other server/network application services. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the candidate to be part of the Foxconn’s EV journey and grow with it.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete network and security device configuration and management.
- Monitor and provide administration to the network daily.
- Complete project related task as assigned.
- Document and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Administer firmware updates and patching all networking related equipment.
- Lifecycle management of networking and related equipment.
- Physical mount equipment as needed.
- Troubleshooting fiber and ethernet connectivity issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Required Education
- Associate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma/equivalent plus 5 years of relevant processional experience.
Required Experience
- A minimum three to five years of experience in server/network applications required.
- Deep understanding of IP Networking in a manufacturing environment
- Deep understanding of network segmentation
- Deep understand of firewalls and cyber security best practices
