Primary Purpose of Job
Responsible for translating business requirements into workflow solutions using standard platforms and tools within the IT organization. Accountable for managing all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for enterprise applications, including but not limited to requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and on-going support.
Major Job Accountabilities
- Provides subject matter expertise and hands-on development with workflow tools. Utilizes knowledge of workflows, integration tools and platforms to develop workflow solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborates with key business partners and IT colleagues to clearly identify business needs in order to develop effective solutions for fulfilling business requirements.
- Monitors and periodically assesses the performance of existing workflows, identifying and developing improvements as appropriate to ensure optimal performance.
- Conducts testing of workflow components to ensure functionality and process optimization.
- Provides technical support to business units and other IT departments in response to software development questions or needs.
Experience Required
- Three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Systems administration experience using Windows server and workstation-based products; experience in installing and configuring Windows applications and operating systems
- Troubleshooting, identifying and resolving software performance issues.
- Development of client-side scripts that include variables, basic program flow, and logical expressions.
- Designing and developing reports and database queries.
- Prior experience with all aspects of Information and Network Management, e.g., integration, infrastructure, firewalls, servers, hardware, and software.
Required Skills Or Training
- Demonstrates experience in performing business process analysis and documentation of functional requirements.
- Possesses basic project management skills, including the ability to develop project timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements for small to mid-size initiatives.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Must demonstrate ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues and provide consultation to a broad group of people.
- Demonstrates proficiency in writing batch files, SQL queries, and dynamic scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Fiserv products and experience in a financial services organization is a plus.
