GCI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing security solutions, basic network monitoring, patch management, and other security tasks as assigned
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages security solutions, basic network monitoring, patch management, and other security tasks as assigned
- Installs and manages organization security systems.
- Enforces a principle of least privilege (Access on a need-to-know basis).
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to maintain and monitor firewalls and other network defense technologies and detect abnormal behaviors.
- Knowledge of data backup procedures and restoration testing.
- Knowledge of incident response procedures.
- Knowledge of complex technical networking systems.
- Ability to evaluate and maintain complex technical systems.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems, and ability to recognize attack and network breaches.
- Sufficient knowledge of technology and resources available to resolve network operating problems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot operating system hardware and software. System administrating is the process of
