Senior Network Engineer

Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in the search for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team North of the Indianapolis, IN area. This successful resource will be responsible for the company’s network operations in a multi-site, enterprise environment. This will include Fortinet Fortigate installation, configuration, deployment, and administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage firewalls, data security systems, and network monitoring to keep data and communications protected
- Identify, document, and validate compliance of network and infrastructure security best practices
- Plan and implement new systems, upgrades, and patching
- Advise on the expansion of current infrastructure including cloud opportunities to meet demands
- Maintain infrastructure for networking, storage, and compute with focus for minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to IT team members
- Recommend and implement disaster recover procedures and solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree
- 7+ years of work experience in IT Network Operations in a multi-site, enterprise environment
- Experience with Fortinet FortiGate and Fortinet FortiManager.
- Extensive support of routing protocols / technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VPN (Site to Site, remote access client, IPSEC) VPN tunnel
- Strong practical knowledge of network concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Protocols, Port configuration, Link aggregation, spanning tree, performance tuning
- Proven experience with SD-WAN solutions, design, implementations, and security integration
