Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, business fraud, governance, and regulatory compliance across SHEIN’s global footprint. It is composed of a team of security professionals, innovators and thought leaders that have had decades of global security experience, led large scale transformations, and served in Fortune 500 executive roles.
We’re seeking a full-time Network Engineer (Official Title: Engineer I, Global Network Infrastructure) for our Whitestown, IN-based office and distribution center, who will be responsible for implementing WAN/LAN design, maintenance of platform, policy, playbook, and protocol development, supporting network reliability of enterprise locations. This engineer should have a deep technical understanding of routing, network, application, host, and network security practices, as well as incident response protocols and practices.
This Engineer must be able to effectively work with development, application, and operational counterparts, across a broad and deeply technical environment, in all network and security areas, common within an enterprise and the e-commerce and technology industry. This engineer will also assist their leadership with ensuring all networking platforms and technologies are properly supported, implemented, and sufficiently met the needs for which they are deployed to protect SHEIN’s confidential and proprietary data.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure and prepare LAN networks for segmentation, wireless connectivity, and fault tolerance
- Install, configure, tune, and support network equipment including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc.
- Procure network equipment and work with site contacts, VARs and 3rd parties involved with network installation.
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Arrange scheduled upgrades with clear communication and post-implementation testing.
- Investigate faults in the network and work proactively to identify high-risk issues.
- Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Report network status to key stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end global and remote office, user connectivity to enterprise locations and cloud-based infrastructure systems and services.
- Collaborate with the security reliability engineering, change management, threat hunting, vulnerability management and incident response functions and participate in any day-to-day cross functional relationships to fulfill business needs.
- Participate in creating and updating project plans and policy documents based on network and security requests that map to SHEIN's business requirements.
- Work directly with business units to facilitate change requests, incident response protocols, data analysis, solution requirements and technology roadmaps to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Document site details from standard templates, write clear and concise directions for operational support and maintain all documentation to company standard.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering, computer science or equivalent advanced technology field of study is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in routing & switching, wireless, firewalls, BGP, IPSec, and SD-WAN is preferred.
- Understand 802.1x and how to connect & troubleshoot devices to the wired and wireless LAN.
- Have working experience with Fortinet, or similar platform, to act as an SD-WAN technology, interconnecting global offices for direct, secure, and segmented connectivity.
- Have working experience with Aruba switches and access points, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Central, or similar platform for management of enterprise locations.
- Have working experience partnering with global ISPs for circuit provisioning, connectivity reporting and SLA adherence.
- Have working experience with change management lifecycle, development and regular preparation of management status and key metrics reports.
- Should have experience building and running from the ground up a segmented, highly available, geographically redundant, secure, and platform-managed network.
- Should have a working knowledge of Cloud platforms such AWS, Azure, GCP, Tencent or Alibaba.
- Must be able to support on-call, escalation, and high-paced production environment.
- AWS, Fortinet, Aruba or wireless certification a Plus.
- Extensive work experience with enterprise/warehouse WiFi a Plus.
