Description:
Railhead is seeking qualified candidates to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies. The Azure Cloud Engineer will work with various Product Owners to deliver new cloud service capabilities and will develop, configure, and deploy IaaS/PaaS and SaaS services within the Azure Cloud to fulfill end user requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs and deploy as code system architecture for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services in Azure Cloud.
- Participate in the development of user stories, sprint planning, and test case development / execution within an agile project environment.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other team members to solve technical problems at the network, system, and application levels.
- Have a significant role in the evaluation and support of application architectures across platforms to ensure alignment to cloud and application modernization strategies, capabilities and requirement sets.
- Participate in the day-to-day execution of the enterprise architecture strategy via agile release schedules utilizing DevOps and CI/CD tool sets.
- Work across multiple projects and systems to develop user stories, system design document, implementation plan document, and SOPs.
- Understanding technical security best particles and guidelines within Azure Cloud Platform. knowledge of and experience with security policies, network security, data security and security event management to adopt cloud security services.
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a current Secret clearance or above.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on Azure.
- Experience with DevOps principles and Automation Platforms such Azure Functions and Ansible.
- Experience with Identity Access Management (IDAM), AzureAD, and CyberArk.
- Excellent scripting experience/background (using PowerShell, BASH, and Python.)
- Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST.
- Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, a strong analytical ability.
- Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite, to include JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
