Cloud Engineer- SME
The Cloud Engineer will provide mission critical system support to our customer. As a Cloud Engineer on this program, you will design, develop, and implement a Cloud-Native Service architecture that software development teams can leverage to move services to use native cloud capabilities. This role works directly with implementation teams to provide technical guidance and implementation priorities related to cloud implementation
Primary Responsibilities
a) Builds end-to-end user service-oriented products, testing and integrating them with a mixture of distributed, COTs and custom applications
b) Designs, develops, builds and deploys highly scalable, fault-tolerant, elastic and secure cloud-based and distributed services
c) Works with a variety of cloud-based architectures (public, private and hybrid)
d) Integrates external and internal cloud systems with non-cloud on-premise networks, to allow for secure communication between the systems.
e) This role provides technical leadership and delivers an innovative product, service, or a combination of products and services that address a customer's specific requirements.
f) Support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS.
g) Duties include developing innovative approaches and solutions, using non-quantitative tools and guidelines from past experience.
h) This role provides execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams working with the strategic guidance from the Cloud Engineering Lead.
Basic Qualifications
a. Extensive experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure -as-code concepts.
b. Understanding of aspects of architect and design enterprise cloud solutions.
c. Extensive experience with AWS and Azure
d. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
e. Extensive experience interacting with cross-functional project teams including Software Development, System Engineering/ Verification and Validation, Security, Compliance and Quality Assurance.
f. Extensive experience working in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum environments
g. Extensive experience working with DevOps CI/CD related technologies (Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Confluence, Sonar Lint, and Junit.
h. Knowledge of Software Configuration Management life cycle deliverables.
i. Experience with AWS Console, CLI, and manage services utilizing cloud services to build infrastructure as a code in an automated fashion
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI
Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience. This may be substituted with a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 20 years of total experience.
